  1. Mark Mace

This size is perfect for backpacking, bikepacking and vacation. The tea is of consistently high quality and you needn’t use as much as from less densely compressed cakes. The grandpa’s hay barn aroma is always clean without a trace of imperfect fermentation. This may be as good as it gets at any price.

  2. Amazonian

I’m not a big tea pro and I’ve never had pu-erh before. Heard the flavor described as “earthy” and “barnyard” and I have to agree. It’s not unpleasant though. Seems like it should be, but I keep coming back to it and enjoying it.It does seem to have some positive effects on digestion, too. I don’t have any major problems and I haven’t seen any dramatic differences, but my tummy feels pretty good drinking this tea, and it may also be a little bit stimulating for the bowels.Agreed that it can be re-used. I usually only steep for a minute the first time (after the brief rinse), keeping the tea mild, and a little longer the second, and it’s usually still good for a third cup.

  3. Shell

This is a wonderfully delicious tea and an unbelievable quality for the price. Anyone saying it tastes fishy did not brew it properly by rinsing the leaves before steeping.
