product description

Tea Profile

Made with a time-honored approach, the tea is stone-milled and then pressed into shape, giving the cake a neat round form with a naturally balanced, slightly open structure. That design helps keep the buds and leaves as complete as possible, so the surface looks refined while the material inside stays well protected.

In the cup, it comes out a bright yellow-golden color with a clear, lively sheen. The body feels rich and pleasantly sweet, while the aroma continues to rise after each sip; a delicate touch of astringency adds definition before the liquor quickly melts across the palate and leaves a fast, sustained mouthwatering finish.

The pressed cake format is practical for storage, sharing, and portioning, making it easy to enjoy at home, in the office, or during a relaxed tea session with guests. For a cleaner expression of sweetness, a brief rinse and properly heated water can help the leaves open more evenly. It also makes a thoughtful gift for collectors and tea lovers who appreciate traditional craftsmanship and a more authentic tasting ritual.

This reminds me of the tea we were served while visiting Yunnan.

Was very nervous and excited to get this tea. I just finished the book "The tea girl on hummingbird lane" I had no idea what puerh was until that book. After hearing the story I just had to try this tea. I am a self proclaimed tea snob. I order different loose leaf teas to mix together to create custom flavors and have been doing it for years. This is one tea I will not mix and enjoy it as it is.
